BÄRO honored with nationwide innovation award
BÄRO demonstrates its innovative strength and is awarded the TOP 100 seal 2021. This is the 28th time that this award has honored particularly innovative medium-sized companies. The specialist for lighting systems and air hygiene had previously convinced the innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team in an independent scientific selection process.
Since 1993, compamedia has been commissioned to examine and award companies with particular innovative strength and above-average innovation success. This year's applicants were subjected to around 120 test criteria from five different categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. This year, the jury also examined the company's response to the Corona crisis.
And BÄRO then convinced the examiners in all categories. "For five decades, we have been reinventing ourselves and our products time and again and have been able to secure and expand our position in an international environment precisely because of these continuous innovations," says a delighted BÄRO Managing Director Dr. Sandra von Möller.
Fresh Light for Fresh Products
It all began with an idea that has since been firmly inscribed in the gene code of the BÄRO brand: to illuminate food in such a way that its freshness and quality are visible. This developed into a stable partnership with customers in the food trade and retail sector, which expanded to include more and more areas of the retail sector.
Today, the owner-managed company is active worldwide. As a project partner and system supplier, the Retail Lighting division offers innovative lighting solutions for all formats in the multi-faceted world of retail: BÄRO illuminates individual stores as well as supermarkets and chain stores, manufactories, outlets, stores, boutiques, specialist or lifestyle retail formats.
Offering solutions in the pandemic with Clean Air Technologies
With its second business division, Clean Air Technologies, BÄRO has specialized in air purification with UV-C technology for over 25 years. Particularly since the start of the Corona pandemic, the company has been making an important contribution to protecting the population with mobile or permanently mounted UV-C devices, which can also be integrated into existing ventilation systems, for example.
"With our Clean Air Technologies products, we want to help make schools, nursing homes, the work environment and shopping, and later also restaurant visits, safer. We have reliable and practicable solutions to provide much better protection for at-risk groups and all those affected," says Dr. Sandra von Möller, Managing Director of BÄRO Clean Air Technologies.
Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, the scientific director of TOP 100, is impressed by BÄRO and the other award-winning medium-sized companies. "The TOP 100 companies have consistently focused on being as innovative as possible."
