Modernisation of existing systems

Considerably more than half of all ventilation and air conditioning systems do not meet the hygiene requirements of VDI 6022. In particular, water-conducting and wet equipment parts such as dehumidifiers and rotary spray humidifiers are ideal breeding grounds for mould spores, bacteria and viruses. However, this also applies to air filters that run at more than 80% relative humidity. Old systems therefore release millions of germs and present a health risk to the people exposed to them. The relevant standards and regulations to ensure faultless indoor air quality will be tightened in future. UV-C disinfection systems from BARO are simple and inexpensive to fit in existing systems. They offer an excellent opportunity for quick and lasting modernisation of old, germ-contaminated air conditioning systems by bringing them up to a reliable hygiene standard once more. Our AirStream module or the corresponding fixtures such as the Compact fixture (with or without cold protection), the Compact lamp IP 65 or the Fixture for damp locations can be deployed. WasherProtec water disinfection can also be used for rotary spray humidifiers.
