Air Hygiene
Disinfection with UV-C technology – without chemicals
Airborne micro-organisms such as germs, bacteria, fungi and viruses can trigger health problems in humans and contaminate raw materials and fresh foodstuffs in food production – leading to premature spoilage. BÄRO is a specialist for UV-C based air, water and surface disinfection. The effect of UV-C radiation is used and enables up to 99.9% of micro-organisms to be destroyed. This takes place in secure, encased disinfection systems that are integrated in the ventilation and air conditioning equipment of buildings and food producing facilities. Studies show that disinfected air can greatly reduce health problems such as respiratory illnesses, mucus membrane problems and muscle aches. The main advantages of UV-C disinfection for food production are significantly improved plant hygiene, maintenance of quality and a longer shelf life for products.
Odour and grease elimination – without chemicals
Odours in exhaust air and grease deposits in exhaust air systems are a constant problem for hotels, catering establishments and canteens. In residential and mixed areas odours from kitchen exhaust air can disturb residents thus violating the strict provisions of the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). This can result in high penalties or even closure of the offending establishment. Grease deposits in extraction hoods and exhaust air shafts greatly increase the risk of fire and necessitate expensive chemical cleaning. BÄRO offers innovative solutions for both problematic areas. plasmaNorm by BÄRO eliminates odours in kitchen exhaust air on a sustained basis by means of a photolytic oxidation and decomposition process. This removes the need for environmentally harmful chemical cleaning and time-consuming and expensive inspections of exhaust pipes. The UV-C ozone cleaning system BÄRO KitTech cold burns greasy substances in the exhaust air by means of photolytic oxidation. This eliminates the risk of fire and there is no longer any need to replace filters or to clean the system.
