Leichlingen, June 2017 – Retail lighting from BÄRO strengthens retail brands because
good lighting tells stories, creates a profile and promotes sales. But BÄRO itself is also a
strong brand with a strong story that has evolved constantly over almost half a century.
BÄRO has now been named "winner" in the lighting category of the renowned German
Brand Award 2017 for successfully building up this brand – from the idea of offering
lighting for food products that makes their freshness and quality visible, to the current
forward-looking presentation of the company in different channels.
The German Design Award is organised by the German Design Council and the German Brand Institute. Only companies nominated by the German Brand Institute, its brand scouts and expert committees can take part in the competition. A jury decides whether a brand is eligible based on criteria such as brand uniqueness, aesthetics, innovation level and economic success. The winners were announced during a gala in Berlin on 29 June 2017.
